Our Second Color

We Are Also
Purple.

Safety Orange is our warning flare. Purple is our governing color — the equal, or near-equal, combination of Red and Blue. It is what happens when no tribe wins, and the country governs itself.

The Two-Color Doctrine

Orange warns. Purple governs.

Safety Orange is the color of the emergency — the cone in the road, the vest on the rescue worker, the flare on the highway at night. It is how we signal that the republic itself is in distress.

Purple is the color of what comes after the emergency. It is what red and blue make when neither one is allowed to dominate the other. It is centripetal by chemistry: you cannot get to purple without bringing both halves to the table in roughly equal measure.

A movement that flies only one banner is a faction. A movement that flies both — the orange flare of warning and the purple banner of shared governance — is a republic remembering itself.
